Every company starts with the belief that it can improve something. That something for us is finding and restoring balance in the things we create.
And while that might sound big and lofty, to us it means
approaching everything with intention and careful consideration.
You see, we don’t care about following the latest trends and we’re certainly not the type of company who is only ruled by their bottom line. At bq, we hold ourselves to a different standard. That's why we take time to perfect one product as opposed to flooding the market with a wide range of options.
We stick to what we’re good at and what we know we can improve, so that the product you get comes with years of knowledge, design and redesigns, and is deceptively simple but well-made for everyday use. That to us is a well-balanced start.
Well, the answer is easy. Everyone - regardless of their age, gender or lifestyle needs to drink water to stay alive. It’s a necessity.
And while there are plenty of water bottle brands out there bigger than us, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re better. We noticed when it came to the balance of design and engineering - there were things which could be improved. So we did it ourselves.
We may be a small and relatively young company, but we’ve already garnered acknowledgement from the design community and won the Red Dot award for the design of our bottle. That leads us to believe that we’re onto something.
We are just two average guys with a background in product design and engineering who happen to be incredibly stubborn when it comes to sacrificing good design to make more money. We just won’t do it. Remember when we told you quality mattered to us more than the bottom line? Well, it’s true. In fact, we both still have our day jobs.
